If the screen has a "Scroll Light" arrow at the Top or Bottom of

Main Screen Color. This is the Main color used on the screens.

Get Default Directories.
Data Directory. Where Printer Setup, Help, and Text Files are kept.

Customize Font Info.
This screen allows you to use custom downloaded fonts and modify
font setup information to support fonts Numero Uno doesn't recognize.
Font Name. This is the Name of the font. It is for your information
only and Numero Uno doesn't use it.
Family. This is the font family number that is used to select the font.
Pitch. This is -1 for a proportional font or the closest whole pitch
for the font.
Size. This is the size of the font. It must be a size that this font
has or supports. Numero Uno doesn't scale fonts.
Symbol Set. This is either the symbol set that FontInfo gives you or
12 indication you are specifying a symbol set below.
Symbol Set Name. This is the technical name for the symbol set. It
must end in a capital letter.
Regular Weight. This is a value given by FontInfo. It is usually 0
for a regular font, -1 for a light font.
Bold Weight. This is not used by Numero Uno at this time but is usually
3 or 4 greater than Regular Weight.
Average Character Width (Decipoints). This is the average character
width of generally lowercase letters. This is measured in tenths
of a point (1/72") or 1/720s"

converting Numero Uno files to ASCII or to other word
processing formats.

Save Data To Disk.
This function allows you to name a file to save all the Data entered
in these menus to. This allows you to save the data you have entered
for a future time. If you don't enter a disk or directory, it will
be saved to your User disk and Directory. If you save to a file
N1DAT.DEF, this file will be read Every time Numero Uno starts up.
Numero Uno saves the contents of the screens to the File N1DAT.HIS
when you quit, and reloads it when you startup again. This is
overridden by N1DAT.DEF which takes priority if it exists.

Load Saved Data.
This function allows you to name a previously saved file and
load it into memory. This loads data into all the screens. If
you don't specify a disk or directory, the file is read from

Printer Type.
This Selects the type of printer that you are using. This can
either be an Epson or IBM compatible dot matrix printer, or
HP LaserJet, DeskJet or Compatible Printer. This field will
also update the control strings below as well. This can also
be Generic Printer. Generic Printer is used for other printers
which you don't know control codes for. If You don't know the
codes or don't understand how they work, use Generic.
Try to pick the printer that most closely matches your printer.
These printer choices have many printer options you can select.
If you have Publisher's Powerpak installed you can choose this
driver.

This Selects the type of conversion that is done for converting

uses the ASCII conversion control strings.

Laser Setup Parameters.
Font Name. This is the Name of the Font either cartridge, internal or
soft-font. Press F2 to Select from choices of fonts that may be
available. You must own this font or it must come with your printer.
Numero Uno Provides no fonts. This font should also have a bold version
in this size and symbol set as well. This updates all the other fields
in this group.
Size. Set the size of the font you want to use. This must be a size of
this font that you own.
Symbol Set To Use. Use this field to select the proper Symbol Set for the
font you need to use.
Symbol Set Name. This field has the actual name used to specify the Symbol
Set when the font is specified to the printer. When The Symbol set is
changed this field is updated. Use this field to enter a symbol set type
which is not in the list of symbol sets. Set the Symbol Set field to be
"Other Specify -->"

Enter the device commonly used for printing in this field. If you are
using the standard system printer device PRN: leave this field blank and
this will be assumed. If you wish to use your second printer LPT2:, you

no enter the trailing ':' that follows the device name. Do Not enter
a Disk Name here as this is for printing devices only. If you save your
printouts to disk before printing, just leave this field blank.

ASCII Conversion Replacement Strings.
When Numero Uno converts a file to Smart Pseudo formatted ASCII text, Numero Uno
converts the indications in the file for Head, Bold, Underscore, End
of Head, End of Bold, and End of Underscore to these strings. You can
change these if you wish. If you don't want any bold for example,
just leave these fields blank. Anything you enter into these fields
must be typeable on the keyboard. You may not enter printer string as
you do with the printer file setup, as they will not be converted by
Numero Uno, as they are for printers. If your word processor does have printer
codes and formatting conventions, you can use these.

Printer Conversion Strings.
Press F2 to select a number of options that your printer can support.
When you Press OK or Hit the F10 key the options you select will be
used to create the strings you want.
When Numero Uno prints a file out on your printer or file, Numero Uno converts the
indications in the file for Heading, Bold, Underscore, End of Heading,
End of Bold, and End of Underscore to these strings. You can change
these if you wish. If you don't want any bold for example, just leave
these fields blank. These fields allow you to enter a custom printer
control strings to control your printer's output. These fields default
to standard IBM Proprinter and Epson standard codes. This can be any
valid printer string Enter non-typeable ascii codes by entering the
decimal value for that code in '<' and '>' type brackets. An ascii
value can range between 0 and 255. Note the ascii value for the ESC
character is 27. Note each code you enter in '<' and '>' becomes one
character long when translated, i.e. <27> becomes chr(27)

Scan For Files Not in List.
With this version of Numero Uno, you can archive files from the list off
to another floppy, or disk. To do this copy the file onto another
disk and kill the file from the View-Print menu. When you need the

Version 2.25 or greater since Numero Uno as of this version stores file
information in each file, and the previous version did not.

Kill File in File List
Use this function to delete a file from the file list. A file list
is created whenever you start Numero Uno and a record of every file
created when you compile a Numerological chart. This file and the files
it contains can be saved when you quit. You may wish to delete files,
if you do not have much room on your disk, etc. Unless you do not
tell Numero Uno Not To the file list is entirely erased along with its
contents when this program end.

Print Numero Uno File
Use this function to print out an Numero Uno Output file. The file can
be printed to Disk (for later printing) or printed out to any logical
device, but the function defaults to the PRN: Device. Using this
function, you select a file and then you can select how the file is
printed. You can set the left margin, text width, destination, and
whether the file is opened or appended to an already existing one.

Convert Numero Uno File To Ascii Text
Use this function to convert a file to an ascii text file for word
processing or telecommunications. Though you could do this with a file
from the printout function, this will not print out any unprintable
characters to the file, making it easy to edit. Using this function,
you select a file and then you can select how the file is printed. You
can set the text width, destination, and whether the file is opened or
appended to an already existing one.
You can convert a file to a number of word processing formats including:
WordStar 3.x, WordStar 4.x and up, WordPerfect 4.x, WordPerfect 5.x,
Microsoft Word "Rich Text" (RFT) format, XYWrite, and Ascii. Most of
these can preserve formatting information for editing.

Number of Lines Per Page.
This option allows you to choose the number of text lines, including
the header information which will be printed on each page when printing
out a report. If you are using 11" paper and do not choose to change the
printer spacing, you should not have to change this option. Your selection

Printer Control String.
This option allows you to enter a custom printer control string to
setup your printer for output. This can be any valid printer string Enter
non-typeable ascii codes by entering the decimal value for that code in
'<' and '>' type brackets. An ascii value can range between 0 and 255.

allowing you to enter a 75 character long setup string. Note each code

Font Types.
There are several different Fonts used By Numero Uno. You can customize
any one by pressing the Key Listed at the end of the listing for that.
Main Text Font. This is the Body Text used. To Customize Press->@a[0x1f](F3)@a[0]
Heading Font. This is a Main Heading. Usually Bold and Centered. @a[0x1f](F4)@a[0]
Big Calendar Font. This is the Font used for the numbers in the
top left corner of each calendar cell. If your printer has fonts

Small Calendar Font. This is the font for the small number in the
bottom right of each calendar cell. this is usually the same as

Fixed Pitch Font. This is usually Courier, but can be changed
to a different pitch for example you could use a 12 pitch font
and make the calendars narrower. This is used to print the rules,
lines and the Calendar Grid. This must be a PC-8 font for a

Printer Control String. This is output once at the top of each report.
Heading On/Off String. This is the code string for the main headings.
It usually turns on or off Bold and Underscored text.

In this screen enter the information of the person you wish to
analyze.
Name at Birth. This should be the given name from the Christening
or Birth Certificate. Use the full name and not initials. If the
person's sur-name has changed, use the original sur-name at birth.
Name Being Used Now. This can be any name that the person is
currrently known by or was known by at the time you wanted to
do an analysis. If the sur-name has changed use the new sur-name.
Birth Date. Enter the Date of Birth here.
Street Address. An Analysis is done of the numbers of the street
address to see if the location is agreeable.

Color Printer Color Scheme.
